Looking ahead, our big highlight this month is the ‘kids on the lake’ – fishing tournament for special needs children, happening on September 13th at Owen Park in Conroe. For over 30-years this tournament has given parents and their special needs child quality time to enjoy the great outdoors with the hopes of snagging the big catch! This heartwarming event stands out as one of our most meaningful service projects of the year. It's a day full of smiles, laughter, and lasting memories — and an example of Lionism in action. Reminder – registrations are due this Wednesday, September 10th!
Fall is full of many other Lions Club programs and projects too. There’s our joint Vision Screening with the Community Assistance Center, on Monday, September 15th. Also, a pull out your bi-focals Lions, to get ready for ‘Reading at Reaves’ set for Wednesday, September 17th; don’t forget to sign up! September is all about fall – so we’re having a ‘Fall into Focus’ event at our CNLC Eyeglass Recycling Center on Thursday, September 25th. Just like those many autumn leaves that cover your yard, there are plenty of events for Lions to fall into this season.
We celebrated wrapping up another successful Community Partnership Fundraiser, a key effort that helps support our programs and service projects throughout the year.

Our guest speaker this week was Rob Ferguson, who shared valuable insight into business succession and today’s exit climate. Whether you're thinking about retiring, selling, or keeping the business in the family, Rob offered compelling statistics and practical next steps. His talk gave us all something to consider — and sparked some great conversations around the room.
