The Conroe Noon Lions Club continues its mission of service to the community through engaging programs, meaningful service projects, and opportunities for fellowship, all while welcoming new members who want to make a difference locally and beyond.
At the Club’s Wednesday meeting this week, members and guests were treated to an exciting and informative program featuring Texas Game Warden, Bobby Apple. The presentation quickly turned into an energetic question-and-answer session as the warden shared real-world experiences from the field and answered questions ranging from wildlife conservation to public safety. Lots of what you can and cannot do!  The program offered a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the vital role game wardens play in protecting Texas’ natural resources while keeping communities safe.

In addition to the guest program, the meeting also served as an opportunity to recognize Lions who have been hard at work behind the scenes. Committee members were acknowledged for their leadership and dedication in organizing our annual Blood Drives, an ongoing effort that helps save lives. Their work ensures that the Conroe Noon Lions Club continues to meet critical community needs through hands-on service.

Members were also recognized for their involvement in the Drug Awareness Youth Contest, a Lions Club initiative that encourages young people to make healthy, drug-free choices through creative expression. By supporting youth education and prevention efforts, the Club reinforces its commitment to empowering the next generation with positive messages. It also serves yet another opportunity for our youth to earn scholarship money to further their education.

Looking ahead, the Conroe Noon Lions Club has several important events on the calendar. On Saturday, February 21, members will participate in a service project at Bridgewood Farms, a local organization dedicated to enriching the lives of adults with disabilities. This service opportunity reflects the Lions’ long-standing commitment to inclusion, compassion, and community support.

Another highly anticipated event is the Club’s Annual Dinner/Dance & Auction, scheduled for February 26. This year’s theme, “Travel: Roar & Explore,” promises an evening of fun, fellowship, and fundraising. The event brings together Lions, friends, and community supporters for a night of entertainment while raising funds that directly support the Club’s service projects and charitable initiatives throughout the year. Community Partners are encouraged to attend, participate in the auction, and help the Lions continue their work serving Conroe and the surrounding area.

The Conroe Noon Lions Club meets every Wednesday at noon at the Lone Star Convention Center. Guests are always welcome to attend a meeting, enjoy lunch, and learn more about how Lions serve locally, regionally, and globally. Whether through vision care, hunger relief, youth programs, disaster response, or community service, Lions are united with a simple goal: to serve.
