Dear Lions,

Happy Monday! I hope you all are enjoying this fall weather.

It's the final call!  Hometown Military Hero applications are due TODAY - Sept. 30th.  If you know a local active duty service member worthy of recognition, be sure to submit their form by the end of the day.  You can even send it via email for last-minute entries!   Click here for the form.

Clay Shoot is coming up THIS Saturday, October 5th at Blackwood Gun Club.  And while the course if full, we still need volunteers!  Pullers & scorekeepers are NEEDED, but there's also room to help with setup, teardown, or even serving lunch.  For those shooting, Vicki is still offering early savings on Shoot'agans and Fun Shot Flurry - BUT you must notify her by Wednesday to lock in the deal! Clay Shoot Sign Up Here!

If you haven't already, grab your GUN RAFFLE tickets before Saturday's drawing! Tickets are - 1 for $10 or 3 for $20, and we've already surpassed $5,000 in sales!    Huge THANKS to everyone who has helped so far. And an extra shout-out to Lion Bill McGraw for his $5,000 match—let’s keep pushing forward!

Pre-School Vision Screenings...kicks off this week on Oct 1st, from 9am-11am.  Thanks to everyone covering the first few screenings, but we still need more hands throughout the month. Don’t worry, no experience is needed—just show up and help! Screenings Sign-Up

Ask Me to ROAR! Membership Chair Morgan Freeman kicked off the Fall Membership Drive last week with an exciting t-shirt toss. We’re rallying for Guys vs. Gals in a fun contest:
      - 1 point for wearing your shirt to Wednesday’s meeting
      - 2 points for wearing it in public and snapping a pic
      - 3 points for taking a video of yourself "roaring" to someone
      - 5 points for turning in a new member application
This drive is not just about growing our membership; it’s about reminding Conroe that we are, without a doubt, "the greatest Lions club in the world!"

The District P&S Meeting is also on Wednesday - don't forget!

And to wrap up the week, we’ve got an exciting Program from Bill Thompson called “Tunes from Toons.” He’s been with us before and was a lot of fun, but this time, expect to hear trivia and tidbits about some of your favorite songs or cartoons. Which will it be? You’ll have to come to find out!

This week's quote:
This weeks quote: “You cannot do a kindness too soon because you never know how soon it will be too late.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
This quote is a reminder that there’s never a wrong time to show kindness. Whether it's lending a hand at our events, volunteering your time, or even offering a simple word of encouragement, each small act has a ripple effect. Let’s seize every moment to make a difference this week.

REMINDER: Wear your shirt on Wednesday!

Yours in service,
Andrew Perry
Club Secretary
